Our
online hostel database is growing each month.
Some of our recent hostel reviews include:
Fattoria Bassetto, Certaldo (Tuscany),
Italy
”Kiwi’s, Cats and Kings!”
I went to Europe over the summer and about
half way through the trip we
stayed with the hospitable people of Fattoria
Bassetto. This place is genius! It makes
the lonely, desolate and quite frankly smelly,
traveller feel like the King of Italy! With
a swimming pool, BBQ, quite sun bathing
spots, wonderful Tuscan kitchen, clean facilities
and amongst others the cutest little kittens
in the world and a rather docile
and slobbery dog (am I selling this?), this
is truly a beautiful place - I could have
stayed forever!!
However, the calls of other countries and
places to discover were calling me
and I reluctantly had to move on. But alas!
I shall visit again soon! If
not to ogle the rather attractive Kiwi who
helps run the place (seriously
girls he is gorgeous!! In more of a rough
and ready, cave man style, but
none the less gorgeous!(Rosalind Gunn) TOP
Starlight Firenze (Florence), Italy
My boyfriend and me went to Firenze last
week and we had a room at
Sabrina´s house. She was very friendly
and gave us useful informations about the
city. We had the moon-room which is very
sunny and very clean. There are two
baths and you don´t have to wait.
One is always free. The hotel is 5 minutes
away from the market hall where you can
buy typical Italian breakfast. You can
reach the city centre in 5 minutes by foot.
So I think it´s the best and cheapest
way to have a nice and uncomplicated time
in Firenze !!!! (Mirja, Germany) TOP
San Nicola (Sermoneta), Italy
Sermoneta is a charming medieval village,
set on a hilltop located 70 kilometres south
of Rome (only 40 minutes by train) on the
way to Naples. The building dates back to
the thirteenth century when it was a Benedictine
priory and an important guest quarters for
travelling pilgrims. The hostel is on the
south-west side of Sermoneta having panoramic
views overlooking the Pontine plain with
the sea, Circeo and the Pontine islands
in the background. The hostel can accomodate
up to 40 people in double rooms, family
rooms or dormitories for 5-8 people, all
with adjoining bathrooms. There are facilities
for the handicapped, including one room
with bathroom designed for this purpose. TOP
M&J’s Place (Rome, Italy)
I've been traveling throughout europe for
6 months and have experienced my
fair share of dodgy hostels. Not knowing
what to expect when I arrived in
Rome, I hit the jackpot at the first hostel
I stumbled across. It's called
M&J Place hostel. Not far at all from
train station with immediate welcoming
feel.Home away from home - so good to have
clean shower and leave heavy
backpack in secure spot.Yes, ROME is an
amazingly beautiful city but being
able to one night cook my own meal in kitchen
and then snuggle up at night
on lounge in front of t.v made me feel like
I was right at home. Following
night felt like I was invited to an actual
house party - this hostel offers
the best of both worlds when travelling.
To all fellow travellers...don’t let
any other hostel ruin your Roman experience
- stay at M&J's (Vanessa Ciampi) TOP
