If you are on a flying visit to the UK you
are probably going to spend your time in
the city you arrived in. This is most likely
to be London for international travellers
but if you're coming from the European mainland
it could be elsewhere. For such a short
visit we recommend that you stay put and
see as much of that place as possible. If
you are in London visit the city with a
day trip to Windsor and Eton.
1 week
If you are landing in London you probably
could move further afield to Canterbury,
Oxford. the Cotswolds and maybe Bath with
a week. Alternatively London, Oxford and
north to York.
2 weeks
With more time move further south to the
lovely hillsides of Devon and check out
the famed Dartmoor National Park. You should
also have time to see the rugged coastlines
of Cornwall.
3 weeks
With another week up your sleeve extend
to reaches north of London like Yorkshire
and the Peak District.
4 weeks
A month long foray to England will allow
you to comfortably visit many places. For
country areas make sure you take in the
Lake District also and smaller towns like
Salisbury, Avebury, Wells and Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Or spend more time in each of the above
places or head further north towards Scotland.
