MAIN SIGHTS Federation Square
After much consternation the new Federation Square complex,
with its modern design and architecture has been well
received amongst Melbournians. Interestingly juxtaposed
against the granduer of St Paul's Cathedral and the blood
and bandage Victorian brickwork of Flinders Street Train
Station, Federation Square was designed with the idea
of providing
both a modern landmark, and space that brought together,
people, art and reminded visitors of the prensence of
the past in a modern environment. The buildings house;
