AUCKLAND
City

to New Zealand cities guide
The largest city of New Zealand is situated on a thin
stretch of the North Island and almost completely surrounded
by the Pacific. The landscape arround is comprised of
around 50 extinct volcanic cones now covered in lush
forest. It makes for a spectacular setting. Auckland's
suburbs tend to sprawl for miles around but the city
centre has restaurants, trendy bars and cafes and a
multicultural blend including a huge Polynesian population.
Most of the attractions are maritime based and it is
said that one in every ten Aucklanders owns a boat so
make sure you get down to the harbours and enjoy the
City of Sails.
